Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police handled DUI cases with leniency led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger direction for state officials. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. Following her work in Charleston O'Dell served as anchor, co-anchor, and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV before joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. O'Dell anchors the main newscast at Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
